Rants etc.....

Got pulled out of the role I actually half enjoyed doing at work, assuming it's just because I wouldn't deal with the bullshit half-assery that was starting to be expected. Like **** if I'm parking in a place that will get me ticketed just because a client doesn't want to provide us adequate parking. So now I'm stuck at my desk dealing with clients remotely. Wheeeee, let the slacking begin.

My lord time goes fast these days.....

Just sold a brother MFC and was a bit perturbed that it had only lasted (in my mind) 2 - 3 years before starting to display printing issues.... checked my postings here and I've got posts back in early 2013 discussing how much ink replacements were for that unit, which suggests it was probably purchased in 2012. Can't really complain about getting 5 years out of a device with moving parts, especially when the issue might very well be related to me using off brand ink......

My Y-axis belt is tensioned with a yoke and screw arrangement with a wing nut holding it against the frame. With the printer rattling around at every direction change the nut eventually worked it's way loose then spun a bunch more times, making the belt looser than Perineum's mom on a Saturday night. Tightened it back up and started another part printing before I left for my son's hockey practice this morning and it looked good when I dropped him back at home 90 minutes later.

Yikes, that sounds damn loose. Like sleeve of wizard!

Yeah we're all good, destroyed every tire stud and ate up the rim. $300 later and she's good to go

Wow, $300 seems cheap, your lucky that's all the damage it did. Any clue why? Did you get your winters on recently and whomever did it didn't properly tighten, or re-tighten at 50km?
