It is big update, big changes, brings the first version of Engineering gameplay... we are all hoping it isn't a repeat of 3.18 lol

Yes I believe they announced that originally at last years CitCon? Good to see they aren't altering it yet. I expect it might be Christmas 2026, but it would still be 2026Squadron 42 in 2026 . They are at least saying it will be next year . We live in hope .

Fore 75 $ Can you can buy a ship and play the game . I am not sure how many backers there are right now . If you take the total funding and divide it buy the number of backers you are likely see that the av ridge is much greater than 75 $ can . At this point the game is largely playable . This shows how much those that backed like the game .![]()
What they’ve delivered is a pretty impressive gameplay experience with no signs of slowing at this point with Squadron 42 scheduled for 2026. Good times now for Star Citizen and good times ahead. Lots of people playing and enjoying the game. Keep the money flowing I say! Get’s me more of the dream in game with every update!I'm not judging anyone that's playing it, nor do I really have any experience playing it and knowing what the enjoyment level is. I just saw the article marking it as approaching $1B in funding and not even having the campaign released yet, which is GTA6 levels of crazy to me. (I backed Camelot Unchained a million years ago and that seems to still be getting funding somehow without producing anything so far)
Seeing games like Claire Expedition, Bg3, or even smaller games like Blue Prince have greatly shifted in my mind what's possible. So the idea that ANY game could cost $1B is bonkers. What should be available in the game for that price should make it one of the greatest entertainment achievements of all time. And I would say the same of any game hitting that development mark.
