Don't modern motherboard USB ports have some form of baked in high current flow protection? Seems to me my DAC had a habit of triggering that on my ASUS B550 mITX board.

I have a hard time believing the post is legit.

It also somehow burned a whole in the desk but the bottom. Of the mouse was in great shape.

if it's fake, they did a lot of legwork to make it look legit. not only is there the hole, but the mousepad corner is perfectly charred too.

Propane/Butane torch and I think i could replicate the damage if i was so motivated. The fact that there is so much charing below where the mouse was but the bottom of the mouse isn't charred only kinda melty raises other suspicions.

there are no pictures of the bottom...so we don't know what condition it's in.
