(Yet Another Prodigy)

I'm going to be pretty blunt here. I bought a Bitfenix Prodigy. It is black.

In it, I am going to put ...*drumroll*

ASUS' P8Z77-I Deluxe. I know, big surprise.

And in that motherboard I will put a i7-3770k. I believe you should go big or go home.

(Get it, it's a SFF build.)

I wanted to use my Silverstone Strider Plus 1000w to power it all except Bitfenix put a big ol' plate in the way of all the modular plugs.

So I fearlessly dremeled away.

Which didn't work so I did some more!

Sweet victory.

Was not a fan (ha ha) of a fully grey frame with white fan blades on my 200mm front fan. So I went with partial grey and black.

Also relocated the power and reset buttons to the top corner.

The little tiny minuscule connectors for the wireless card thought it would be cool to fall off. I don't trust wireless anyway. [/adjusts tinfoil hat]

Very nice start :thumb:
going air cooling or water?
Nice job on the psu cutouts
are you gonna solder the wire back on?

It's been awhile

It's GPU update time

Could it be...?

Yes, it is. A Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo II. Had the watercooling enthusiasts fooled for a second.

However, with that cooler my GTX670 is now 3 slots tall and the Prodigy only has space for 2...

Like all modding problems, it was solved with a Dremel. :bleh:

I cut a huge hole in the side panel, cut a piece of acrylic to cover it, cut fan holes and mounting holes in said acrylic, bolted fans and a shroud to the acrylic, and finally bolted the acrylic to the side panel. :thumb:

Its an after market cooler with after after market cooling , or something...

Might as well plug those sleeved cables in :bleh:

Thought I'd reuse the plugs from the GTX670 on the motherboard, looks cool eh? :punk:

Parting shot of the system as it sits now, going to make time for super sexy final finished build pictures.:thumb:

The MDPC-X screw caps over the antenna holes is a nice touch. Shade 19 + black?

Yes, some blue or white would fit with the mobo better but right after I bought the board a whole bunch of other m-itx boards were announced. I might swap for one of those but so far I am happy with the ASUS.
