I have a guy that needs a PC to run Ubuntu 16.04 LTS...not much is available in server grade hardware (already talked with Lenovo/HP/Dell) and Supermicro is quite expensive.

Can anyone direct me to where I can find listings of compatible hardware to build a system from? I don't want to just randomly pick stuff out and then find the NIC or something isn't supported. :doh:

Ubuntu is pretty forgiving in terms of hardware. Some suggest though that a good general rule of thumb is to stay one generation behind to avoid hardware related issues.
