Have they fixed their design flaw where the PSUs randomly burst into flames and kill all the compopnents inside? If so it might be something to consider.

Are you sure that's a "flaw"??? I thought they used microsoft's "that's actually an undocumented feature" excuse..... :)

LOL! Yeah that was the Modular X2 Design. It was way to over-engineered to be fesible.
I have used there LSP line for a long time now, with an OCZ thrown in there as well.
Never an issue ever with them.

These designs from what I see, are Reliable, cool, quiet and efficent.
A few websites have reviewed them as well, and they got good marks.

Just thought I'd share the deal, Modular PS are becomming a bigger thing these days.

Had an 800W Ultra XPRO which went bad and was replaced with a new 800W X3. No problems with it so far.

meh, when you can get the corsair cheaper.........

Out of general Curiosity where can you get the Corsair Cheaper?

NCIX = NCIX.com - Buy Corsair HX620W CMPSU-620HX ATX Triple 12V 50A 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply 120MM Fan 2X PCI-E - CMPSU-620HX In Canada.

So, for 20watts less , I get a 'fully' modular instead of Hybrid modular at $30CAD less than the Corsair after its rebate.

I think I will stick with the Ultra really. But again, if you can get a Corsair cheaper, I'd love to know where because they are a good PS too.

As for their PS's they are manufactured by Andyson International (Makes Server PSU's I believe *pulled from HWC's Review Article*)

No matter who makes anything, there will be failures. I will admit that the X-Pro and the Ultra X2 both had Issues.
However the X3 and LSP line are rock solid lines.
Which is why I posted here in the first place.
