Hello. I hope you like my name. I found this forum from a Blue's News Review and decided to join because of a fellow Canadian from DriverHeaven who is no longer an attendee of that forum. Anyway I am having a good time so far. I hope I meet some nice people here. Thanks.

Welcome! We are a pretty good bunch and hope you enjoy your time here.:canadianwave:

I was posted to Comox back in the early `80s.

Got in trouble........

Hi all,

"hmm..more US folks? oy bm!!! wheres the greetings? you slob! :D"

I got in trouble from dangtx for not making myself known as a "newbie" here.

I am a retired engineer from Microsoft, IBM, Digital and Compaq.
I played in the field for 24 years.
Finally got smart and went into insurance.
Now I work "normal" hours and have weekends off.

I was administrator of the PClincs.co.uk site and Ninjamicros.com site, till they both closed down. I hope that is not a sign of things to come. :bleh:

I started the Team Takoda F@H team there and we have, as a team 23.6 million. I have 9 million myself, so not new to the project.

I came over here to say "Hi" to my friend Zero82z.
Got such a warm welcome, well almost, thought I might lurk for a while and see how the folk up your way behave. :canadianwave:

Take care.........

PS: Seattle is not too far south of the border, so I might almost be Canadian?

Add the missing the ",eh?" at the end of that sentence and I could swear you are from the Great White North.

Folder, eh? If you wish to join our Team, we are 54196 and in a heated battle with Team TPU... and there is a nice contest too for new (and old) folders....

This the introduction thread is it? Good.

Flashback Jack is my nickname. I'm based out of Toronto. I'm a moderately hardcore gamer, nothing too intense. I play mostly the Wipeout games (Pulse is my favourite), some COD4 and Nethack. Yeah, that old game.

Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Hello everyone. My name is Brad, handle BWM, and I'm actually in the USA. A Canadian friend of mine of 4 or 5 years, _dangtx_ invited me up here to find a new roost and home from which to fold. I was sick and tired of my old roost, we both were, actually, so here we are. People here strike me as more polite and considerate overall, better mannered, with more agreeable tempers, and are more willing to learn. So far I really do like it, and I can only hope that we from the lower 48 can be accepted here and treated as one of your own. I really must compliment the front page staffers for not getting too carried away with the Tabloid crap style of presenting industry news that has infected USA sites like the plague. Keep Barbara Walters and those like her out of Canada and off of Canadian airwaves, and you'll better for it. I'm a professional person and find that style incredibly distasteful. Excellent site folks, please do keep it up and on this path. Please accept this salute to yall of you from one of your southern neighbors.

Since I call this place home....

First off, hello everyone and good to be here.

After over a year of visiting the site almost daily (usually from work, HA!), I decided to become a member. I think this forum needs a bit more Alberta rep, so here I am.

Currently in the middle of a build, I'll be checking out all the new posts until it's completion (hopefully sometime next month. When it's done, I'll upload some pics and share the what's and why's with the hwc community.

The information I've found on this site/forum helped me tons so far, and I'd like to give back to this community in the future.
