what .zip compression software do you use? why did you choose that over the others?

7zip because i use the benchmark portion
Peazip, just because it was a decent option to winzip back in the day and I've never bothered to find a different one. 
I have also been using peazip for a long time.
considering how zip has been built into Windows for ages.. The only other files I deal with are .rar files and well 7zip has never steered me wrong.

Nope Winrar here as well. I like it as I used it for .cbr files a lot and being able to have a nice gui and basic file manger kept me using it. One thing that is driving me crazy is since I updated (due to that exploit) I can't find a way to just open cbr files within the file manager without right clicking and choosing show archive contents. Before I just had to double click on them, now if I do that it wants to open them using the system default app. Driving me crazy.
Never liked 7zip although that is the go to at work and have never tried peazip.
Except WinRAR isn't free and either you live with nagging reminders or you buy it.
But why pay for something when there is a better free equivalent?
that's just a viewer though, isn't it? Windows can't actually build zip archives, can it?
