Hey y'all.

I just wanted to share a good consumer experience I've had with XFX and was wondering if anyone else has had good (or bad) experiences with them.

I purchased an AGP 7900 gs about two years ago for my aging system and it did wonders at the time for my performance. Lo and behold, two weeks ago the card mysteriously crapped out. Insta-dead. No resurrection. I get in contact with XFX and my warranty was still good and I should send it right away. Before sending it I had decided to finally build myself a new compy (I'm still running a Slot A Athlon 3200+) I don't really want a repaired AGP card or any replacement AGP card. So I ask them if they can just call it dead on arrival and send me a new PCI-E card. They agree! It wasn't anything special, just a 9500 gt but it still saved me $100 out of pocket. So I just got the package today and they actually upgraded it to the 9600 gt.

Anyone have any bad experiences? Should I keep supporting them or is there another manufacturer that goes even farther above and beyond?

Oh, and I love the forum. Just joined two weeks ago to troll the Buy and Sell. Almost bought a new system but hesitated too long. :)

I had to deal with 3 RMA.. all with BFG and a GTX 280!

2 were great, but the last one was horrible. Bye BFG!

I RMA'd with XFX and I had nothing except great customer service. They were extremely quick with the RMA service. A couple days in their lab and I received a new 8800GT with the bigger fan, which was an upgrade from my old one. I would choose XFX any day of the week, especially now that they have ATI.

All I need to do is "accidentally" kill my 7900GS and I'll probably get a new card. But I don't think I could ever part with my trusty old card.

Thats awsome to hear they actually follow up on their lifetime warranties. Free upgrades are always a good thing.

I havnt used XFX personally, but between them and EVGA, I wouldnt buy anyone else.

xfx has been pretty good =/ i've got a 4890 and a 4870 from them, both have been working as expected... on the note of warentees though, stay clear from Asus video cards... gave them a call and was told to leave number. They called back a month after...

I just RMA'd a 4890 that i had modded with an aftermarket cooler (guess i did something wrong?) anyways returned it with original cooler. Two days in their lab and it's back on its way to me. Said they're sending a new one so it's awesome :)

See, this is why im happy i switched to XFX... maybe when the 5 Series is out... my 4870 x2 will "accidentally" fry itself....
