my fil has hoarded stuff for his whole life. we have slowly been getting rid of stuff. i. the last 6 years we've filled 3 or 4 5 ton bins. I'd say we have at least one more of junk to go after he dies.

I’ve still have a Celeron I was going to use for something… someday…Im not quite that bad lol
But damn, I had boxes for stuff I haven’t owned in years.
Even had a retail i5-13500. When the hell did I buy that and what project did I buy it for..
I have a Celeron somewhere from my mining days back in 2016 / 17 / 18.I’ve still have a Celeron I was going to use for something… someday…
A de-clutter is in my future too. Thanks for the inspiration![]()
If you're on gas today, would be curious to see if your operating costs go down or up. I think NB and (southern) ON are pretty similar in weather and electricity costs.Just got confirmation that we're approved for a free heatpump (possibly two) through our provincial program.![]()
Shouldn't they just have multi-heads on the units to heat all the rooms? Maybe "mini split" is the term and not "heat pump" though.Ideally, our best bet would be to get some electric baseboard heaters for the rooms which won't be directly heated by the heat pump(s).
Since we're already using electricity to heat (albeit in a roundabout way with an electric boiler) the real question is how much more efficient a new electric heatpump will be when compared to a 50 yr old boiler.

But yeah, my line of question was more around the efficiency and if they've improved in the past 5yr. I had considered it when swapping out my furnace + AC, but they were too cost-prohibitive and it didn't seem like it would ever pay itself back.
