I'm looking to build an ultra small mini-itx rig, but I'm a little dissapointed with the current case options I'm seeing in the mini-itx market.

Are all mini-itx cases that we can build out of the fairly bulky square cases (Like the prodigy, corsair 250D, etc.)? I'm look to build a slim comp, similar in form factor to the alienware x51

I'm open to using the small form factor PSU's and other mods, the main thing I want to a tiny build, while still being able to put in a GTX 750 Ti, or something similar.

Smallish with a standard PSU would be something like the CM 130 elite. I don't know much about the alienware PCs you showed a pic of but judging by the form factor I'd be inclined to think that it's either integrated or mobile GPU as opposed to discrete.

If you're looking at e-tailers for ideas I found that Newegg seemed to have the best selection of mITX cases.

It can take up to GTX 670 apparently. I'm assuming that they are using a right angle PCIe bracket, to flip the GPU sideways.

Yeah, the Raven RVZ01 was the first "thin" case that came to mind to me. Although Silverstone's ML07 is based on the same skeleton, except with less "raveny" styling, so that might be worth a look as well.

Raven & Milo can fit a full-sized GPU.

If you're going with the MSI Gaming GTX 760 itx & SFX12V PSU for example, you can get a Lian Li Q03 or Rosewill Legacy U2. beautiful cases with much smaller form.

If you want something incredibly basic and understated, you could go with the L2:

https://loneindustries.com/

L2 will fit dual slot LOW PROFILE video cards like the Galaxy 750 ti. Don't bother looking at the L1, it can't accommodate your needs as it will only fit a low profile 1 slot card (no exceptions). If you are looking for anything bigger than that card the options presented by others are far better :).

They are both fairly small cases, here is the official L2 thread on Hardforum for some actual photos to understand the scope of it's size:

That case looks amazing... I'll most likely pickup the L2 when it's released in September
