A pair of 140mm USB fans. My new switch runs stupidly hot (69c idle) and the built-in fan profile doesn't trigger until somewhere around 75c if you don't have an SFP adapter installed.

I suspect using one of the SFP -> RJ45 adapters will do the trick, but I also wonder about the longevity of the internal fan when it's "forced" to 35% 24/7 if the initial design on release only had it running if it was in a significant high heat environment.
The obvious solution would be for Ubiquiti to give the end user the ability to set the fan curve so that it kicks in at a lower temp, but for some reason they seem hell bent on not providing that functionality.
Worked like a charm, and pretty much inaudible on the lowest setting.
50C vice 69C is much better in my books. Lowest speed setting, powered by the USB port on my giga-hub.
a USB-C to DP cable to test a Lenovo Tab 12 in desktop mode on a Viewsonic VX2405-2K.
Finally broke down and grabbed the aggregation switch on my way home. Cheaper at MexEx (after price match) than any ebay or other listings. And used switches with more than 4x SFP+ ports have huge power draws in comparison. 7W idle vs 70W idle kind of differences for older hardware.

this will let you essentially create a stack that can be managed as a single device?
8x10G connections. The aggregation means I can link ports together and do things like 6x10G+1x20G, 2x20G + 1x40G etc

Very happy, it is barely used, no scratch except some wear on the feets (must have been docked a lot).
