3D Printer / CNC discussion thread

Bambu H2C is out. Really wish I had $4k to just blow on a printer. Up to 6 hot ends with a fancy way to swap hotends.

While waiting for parts for my DSL modem enclosure to print, I've been cleaning out my desk drawers. And it is pretty bad. So got thinking hard about finally doing some Gridfinity. Anyone else give it a shot? As my desk is common af these days, I was able to find someone who has already designed the baseplates that fit. So hope to start printing as soon as the enclosure finishes.

Its been very much on the todo list for the drawers of the workbench below the printers, but have not gotten around to it yet (some organization in atleast 2 of the 4 drawers would be really helpful, the other 2 are storing pretty bulky things no ideal for the gridfinity approach)

I think Gridfinity is the best 3D printed organizational system I've come across. I plan to start changing over the drawers in my workbench this winter from the "stuff everything you can in each drawer" approach to something more organized and Gridfinity is in the lead so far.

First attempt with PA12-CF... forgot to turn off fuzzy skin and it made these look exceptionally bad (does look nice on some models). Also even though it was factory sealed should have let it sit in the dryer for longer. Either way print profile in general worked, seem strong and used it to fix the CNC's belt mounting point this morning. Hopefully the last time one of them will break.

I did heat-up the bed for a good 30-40 minutes since the K1C doesn't have a chamber heater to make it warm first. Let the one I replaced sit under tension for a couple days and check on it before i power the CNC back up though. PA12 is less sensitive to annealing then PA6 and I don't have something appropriate for annealing so see how it holds up. If I end up doing a lot more PA6/PA12 there is a sunlu filament dryer that doubles as an annealing oven that looks interesting (though quite expensive so i have to be doing a lot of nylon for it to make sense).

I didn't realize the settings I used last night are basically the bounds of the K1C. Supposedly max bed temp is spec'ed at 100'c and nozzle at 300'c and I was at 100/290
