A 200$ upgrade

So..from the sounds of it, you're quite satisfied with your current machine. While an extremely generous offer from your sis...the $200 isn't really enough to be useful(in your situation). If you game, you could pick up a few games(if there are any you want), maybe some blank DVD's, TIM, etc...or buy something in anticipation of your next build. You'll be going quad(most surely)...very likely i7 next, and from the sounds of it...maybe SLI/X-Fire. You could pick up a very sweet PSU, that will see you through your next build and then some. You could still use it now, until upgrade time....and the price of that baby is perfect for the budget...you would only have to throw in ~$25 of your own...or maybe your sis will stretch the $200 to cover taxes. GL, and happy shopping....lucky bast... :haha:

Or the 750W if he doesn't want to add in his own money. I imagine it would still hold up fine with SLI/Crossfire.

I got the same mobo as you and I love it. Just keep the motherboard. Sell your E8400 and get a quad core, or as others said, get a new GPU. Other than that, just tell your sister to save up that $200.

How old is your sister? No one in my family would ever say that to me...

Hahaha, im 17, she is 20. Yea i know im pretty young, i don't know maybe because she always borrows money from me and never gives is back? i think she owes me around 500$

Good lord, an SSD? I'd do an entire system overhaul to i7 before a SSD. I say just take the $200 and start saving for your next rig. You got a pretty sweet rig atm and aside from going to a quad core, I'd keep it as is.

You don't have an SSD do you? Unless you've tried one you can't speculate. They are the best thing you can do to your system right now for $200.

This p4 2.8ghz workstation I'm testing right now is snappier than my i7 at 4.2ghz.

I'd get an ssd, without more money there isn't too much you can change. Like others have said, anything that you can use in the next build.
