When I first heard of this, I wondered if maybe it might be related to Intel's manufacturing issues..... pure conjecture but not hard to imagine that an newer industry standard process which both AMD and Intel were using was causing issues.

It doesn't perform 110% last there expectations. As in this is base but we want it to perform higher then this so customers get that value.
I really hope this recall was due to a packaging typo. if it was, they could have fun with that and make it a PR win. 
I'll post articles when I come up on them again, but last night I ran into a bunch that confirmed it was a packaging typo that caused the recall to be issued. LoL!
It makes sense, but it's not just a packaging issue. The chips were completely mislabelled and packaged. Can you imagine if you purchased a chip and it was a mislabled chip that was a 7 series, but you purchased a 9 series? At least they caught it in time.

I dont think they gain anything by faking a delay.
Releasing when Intel is having a crisis would have been good business. Almost every reviewer out there was telling people to not buy intel.
AMD delaying buys time for intel to solve problems. IMO this isnt a simple 'typo' on the packaging.
seen a few youtubers trying to throw shade at amd like they are in a worse spot then intel >< they blasted off my recommendations and disregarded. this will be either the quickest platform change iv ever done or longest depending on how these 14900K-KF hold up.
