Best gaming monitor for a TItan

You only think you do because you haven't tried a 120hz monitor with lightboost yet.

I can't stress this enough. If you game you need this. Period.

I bought the ASUS V278HE and promptly sold my Dell U2711. Accurate color and higher rez makes no difference to me when all movement is blurry. I have lightboost on all the time and installed the smooth scroll plugin for chrome and now web surfing and movie watching is a joy. The colors may not be dead on accurate but I never notice this and the colors are good anyways.

Yup. Switched from a U2711 to a VG248QE and honestly it is ridiculous how much smoother gaming looks.

IPS or bust, EVE is not about twitch graphics.

From watching gameplay vids on youtube you would get HUGE benefits from Lightboost and 120Hz. You are panning the camera all the time, which is where Lightboost benefits.

Please get a 120 hz monitor,it's so good,i can't go back to 60hz,120 hz will probably be the new standard(in a few years). Playing at 120 is aweome, and with your titan you will be able to do that in quite a lot of games so...

The difference is not HUGE but it's there and it's smoother, and it feels awesome.

I beg to differ. 120hz with lightboost is HUGE. The best thing to come along since crt monitors.

I see those stating IPS have never seen a lightboost monitor in action. So really they should just STFU

Edit: The thread title says "best GAMING monitor". So the IPS argument ends right there.

2 Screens, 1 with lightboost (27"1080 res is awesome for FPS games) and as said above, the U2713hm is a sweet sweet monitor for pretty much everything else.

Thats if you have the room / budget for it.
Have to say that after using a second screen while gaming for browsing, chat etc etc I'll never go back to a single screen.

I've got a Crossover 27 inch 1440p that I use for gaming. Best purchase i've made in a long while. Everything looks so good on this screen and due to high pixel density I don't need tons of AA allowing my 670 sli to run at 60 FPS with rarely dropping under in all the games i've played.

Squeets....its obvious you "love" your monitor ;) .....I had a look at some of the offerings with your 120 Hz "Lightboost"....so does going "backwards" to 27" 1080i from 27" 2560 * 1440 really make sense? .....or am I missing something, as in 120 Hz Lightboost being available in a 1440p flavour?'
The asus I saw available is 3D 120 Hz 1080i.....not at all intersted in a 3D capable monitor, the 120Hz "Lightboost" has perked my interest though. Still, I'd have to see both side by side "gaming" to be convinced to "ditch" my Dell 1440p for something else, as I dont notice any "motion blur" and see only bight vibrant colors when gaming....so whats the skinny?

This is the Review I went though....so Lightboost is actually nv technology (I take it software enabled thru nvcp).
ASUS VG248QE Review

Yeah....would have to be pretty bloody good tech to ditch a $600 Dell in favour of a 24" 1080i imo ....again I've nvere been at all interested in donning glasses and playing 3D.....perhaps when 120 Hz are more mainstream in 1440p or 1600p flavours I may have a serious look.
