Hi guys,

I have a very tiny little update for you guys.

Has I told you in my last update, I needed to drill a few passthrough holes in 2 panels of my case. The thing was scarring me a bit and this is why I was always delaying it. Well my fears were true today. This morning, I went to drill them and on the first attempt I shattered my mid panel in two.

These are the passthrough I needed to drill :

Sooooo, I sent an email to Justin to ask him to fabricate me 2 new panels with the passthrough done with their cutter. It will delay the build again but it's for the greater good.

Meanwhile, I was having some difficulties getting in contact with Ensourced to order my sleeving job but last week everything was settled and my order has been taken and is now in his working queue. :thumb:

Since I won't leave you without pictures, I did install the GPU blocks and backplates and also the CPU block on the board. I took some glory shots with them and even one in the case so that you can see how good it will look later!

Cheers everyone!

Pretty snazzy looking motherboard.

The GPU backplates seem to match the Dominator colour perfectly.

Thanks :thumb:

Yep, the match is pretty close! I'm happy with the result.

En un seul mot : WOW !!!!

Merci!

Did you try using a stepper bit to drill the holes or just a.regular bit? What type of material was it you were drilling again?

It wasn't a stepper but something like the one on the left.

But it didn't even reached the wider part of the bit. Material is 5mm acrylic.

I woulda used a stepper instead. Maybe try using it on the broken piece to see if it works? Sometimes if I have a material that slips a little like hard steel i'll use a really small drill bit to make a mark or a spot for the stepper to sit in nice.

Gpus with the orange backplates look like a perfect combo for the rest.

Thanks! :thumb:

A step bit would have worked great

This morning I did try my stepper on the motherboard tray and also decided to do it by hand instead of using my drill press. AND IT WORKED!!!! :bananafunky:

I'm quite happy that I won't have to have this panel re-done!
