Sup NWA4life here,

i was thinking of wat is the fastest ssd currently. is it still the OCZ agility?? thats wat id lik coz i no all the reviews say that that SSD is awesome. id lik a fast SSD with the fastest READ speeds... and LOAD speeds. none of this write business coz i just want the games to be fast and i wont create a lot of data. TY. :).

(btw imma get a 60gb 1 coz i just want the os and some of the main programs i use on it so dun talk about anythin above 60gb ty)

dun worry dude. i only use a small amount of SERIOUS stuff. the rest i can add on to the x2 500gb hdds. plus i am usin a pentium 4 which has 40 and i havnt finished the space up yet. :)

I'd vote for a Kingston V Gen II.
It has a very aggressive ITGC enough so that you can do it on a AMD system and never worry about TRIM.

That would be my first suggestion.

OCZ Agility was never considered the "fastest" SSD. Its a mid tier drive. A VERY good bang for your buck drive in its day but not the fastest.

IF you want the FASTEST drive get a 100 or 120GB sized drive they are faster than the 60s.

IF you want one of the fastest MLC SSDs out there....get the recently released OCZ RevoDrive x2 PCI-E ssd. It will smoke any SSD out there. AND its read only speeds will not degrade as only its writes will get slower when it is a degraded state (no TRIM). Just make sure you have a x4 PCI-E free slot. IF you dont and all you got is a x1...get the older RevoDrive (non x2 model) it is slightly slower BUT still will smoke any 2.5" SSD made.

Here is a chart showing how "fast" the Revo (non X2 model is)...take that read number and make it BIGGER for the x2. ;)

Fast and cheap boot drive?

You can't do much better for under $100 than the Vertex2 40GB.

If there is no issue on price, then an ioXtreme w/o a doubt. But once you saw the price I am sure you would change your opinion on the whole price is no issue.

Hm just a quick question before getting further, for you, what is not expensive? Because for lowfat not expensive mean build a new computer:ph34r:Just kidding Lowfat you know I can't resist:haha: So maybe a little idea of the budget will help??

Did they ever make it bootable? Haven't kept up on them TBH but the last time I checked it wasn't. :(
