yes, he will game...which is why I'm doing this.Here's a question: Does he actually do any gaming? Will he game if he gets a capable enough machine? Or does he just needs a machine that's capable of running windows and performing basic tasks?
The reason I ask, is I have two graphics cards - an RX570 (I think!) and a GTX1080. Obviously the GTX1080 will be a better performer in games, but if he's not planning on gaming, then the RX570 would be perfectly adequate. Depending on what powersupply he's getting could determine which card he could use, too.
Brad (that's his name) is left with getting a suitable PSU and a case now, though he's going to source the PSU first and see if his ancient Antec case can be made to work. my thoughts are that the side panel will have to be left off so the HSF can fit
and that the GTX 1080 may be too long and smack into the front HDD cages all the cases from the 2000's had behind the front ventilation
