Hey all;
Had a small motor vehicle mishap this evening (net getting into details here). Went to the collision reporting centre to file a report, and they took my info, but they did not file a formal report since I told them my damage might be less than $1000, and the other driver did not stick around. They kept my info, in case the other driver shows up, and I would not get into trouble for not reporting. If he/she does not report, and my repair is not too bad, no formal report will be done and I can get the repair done myself.
That said, I have absolutely no idea how much a bumper repair will cost.
Best description of the damage:
- looks like some plastic barbs or something have popped
- a crack about 6 inches long, just below the headlight (headlight scratched a little, fog light perfect condition)
- no broken lights, or apparent frame damage...looks like its plastic/fibreglass only
- 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring
Any ideas on what types of estimates will be thrown at me? I would be paying cash, and not going through insurance (hopefully).
Funny thing is, I almost jumped on Eldonko's 3930K chip for $600...looks like I'll be using that on the car now. No Sandy Bridge-E for me if this runs north of $400, which I think it might be.
