Stomping Hewlett Packard will bring a warm fuzzy feeling to my soul. As they are direct competition with their Insturment Line and my Full Time Job.

Muahahahahaha.

Just had a ton of EUE / NANs on the 280. Fortunately they all crapped out either immediately or within 5% so I didn't lose much work.

Just got another 1888, temps are sitting near idle and my power consumption on my main rig is down from around 660W to 480W

What are the 2165 pointers? Are they the equivalent of the :censored: 511s? I'm asking since my rigs are stuck with those, with a 50% drop in ppd...

That would be Project 5101, looks like it's one of the older SMP units that pops up now and then. From a quick search on the F@H forums it seems like it can actually use all four cores on a quad and dosn't like running on two cores in a notfred/VMware set-up. Folding Forum • Search , so yes it would be the SMP equivalent to the GPU :censored: WU's.

For those who haven't seen the 1888pt GPU WU's they are just a 472pt WU made to run 4x as long, the temps and ppd should be almost the same.

I like the 353pt WU's, they give me an extra 1000 ppd per GPU over any other WU. Not sure why some folks are having a problem with them as they run perfectly on my three cards.

Agreed on the 353's, on my 8800's I get 5800ppd on them, 5000 on the 768s and 1888s and about 3700 on the 511's. They work well on my 9600 gso upstairs as well. I've never seen a 472 oddly enough, but I get my share of 1888's.

Now if we could get a WU with the ppd value of the 353 with the heat output of the 1888's it would be perfect. Hopefully that will happen when all WU's are Fahcore_14 based.

The 472's were the original WU that was quickly expanded 4x into the 1888's. There seems to have been many more of the 1888's released which makes sense as it gets the work done more effiently, not to mention cutting down on the server load.

Had guests staying with us a for bit who are sleeping next to my folding rigs (they prefer not to sleep in a sauna), so I have been shutting them down and restarting them over the past few weeks quite a bit. Never saw any of these new WUs yet.
