Well PC MC, this is day 4 that I asked for my credit limit to be increased temporarily for my move...should not take 3 calls, going to take 4 calls on monday...

Sunny here, windy as heck though. Some really heavy showers this AM though. Power keeps flickering, probably go out as soon as I start cooking supper, I'm not going to use a charcoal BBQ in this wind. At least this cleared up the humidity, it probably wasn't bad in Hfx, but it's been awful up here on the Northumberland, couldn't even run the AC in the truck or the windows would fog up on the outside.

We haven't really had much rain, just strong winds and the power seems to be holding on, no flickers or anything.
 
Oh look, a 4h04m power outage, well after the strongest winds were over, chances are somebodies POC that they didn't bother to secure in the face of a tropical storm watch, flew into a substation and fried a transformer, oh, it started at 6:09pm, suppertime BTW. Oh well, '90's Discman to the rescue as always, 2 AA batteries, probably hasn't been used in 2.5 years, powered up and ran for 4 hours, like to see something modern that can do that, most stuff you get now-a-days needs a new $60 battery after 2 years, assuming you can even replace it...

Yeah, I could have used my solar/batteries/inverters I have setup for just such an occasion and made sure the movie I was watching on my TV was visible to my new neighbor, but where is the fun in that :whistle:

Feeling the harsh side of overzealous moderators today. Pretty sure it's the first time I've had a thread with posts removed. Other users had posted asking what happened, so thus I replied and triggered this domino effect of my subsequent posts being deleted and then the thread locked. Guess my opinions are no longer welcome on DSLR.

Guess I know how it feels when we take action against you guys :haha: Though I think we do it in a far more respectable manner and at least tell you why.
 
Never thought I would be the Dad that avoided coming home after work, but I seriously cant take much more of my soon to be 5 year old. He beats his 3 year old sister relentlessly, doesn't listen, takes off from our acreage, breaks everything he can get his hands on, and just found out he took the keys out of the lawnmower my neighbour lent me because I don't even have time enough to fix mine, and they are now forever lost to the abyss. I wish I was kidding, but he could give Denis the Menace a solid run for his money. And I dont have the patience of a cartoon Dad.... Absolutely lost at this point.
