Finally finish off my new NAS. Started collecting parts like a year ago. Well it don't power on. Think it is the mobo. No warranty. $275 for a replacement. :sad:

Well I spoke too soon. It may be that the power switch on the new case just doesn't work. :doh:
What is the breakdown of the system?
It is all good now. It definitely was just the switch on the new Fractal Design Define R4. Resoldered the switch back on and it works great. :biggrin:
FYI it is an Opteron 6128 (w/ 4 cores disabled), 32GB ECC, Supermicro H8SGL-F, 8x3TB on an IBM M1015-IT.

I decided to give MSI's Live Update a try and while it detects new(er) versions to install, the speed of those downloads leads me to believe they've hired a bunch of TFWs to hand carry each individual bit from their Asian servers........
