I don't know about that...the previous one lasted just over 8 years and the one before that lasted longer than that. the first replacement was rusted and corroded and since reading more, Giant isn't known for the best quality. I'm of the thought that when the replacement comes, sell it and upgrade to a Bradford White or something.

Had 2 giants of them in the rental. Both failed the exact same way a year apart. Quoted 3+ weeks for replacement parts so just replaced them with tankless heaters. The lack of support for replacement parts is enough for me to never buy their stuff again.

My 50 Bradford was installed last year, we are very happy with it. I would say watch the hot water cause under the same setting as our old unit, the new unit's water was way hotter, not sure why, but it was crazy hot.

Has anyone ever ordered from a Minssforum directly? i went to make a order for something for a neighbor to help with his solar grid and network (bought a powerful mini pc) i had my account setup yrs ago i go check the address my default was my current address but after making the purchase ($1410) i checked 4 days later as it hadn't shipped i login and see the default address changed to French and a address out in Quebec?

i sent them a msg via contact form as it still hadnt shipped but im wondering has anyone had this issue before i made the order from my phone so it wasnt a issue with my PC's at this point but they are open today appearntly 1700 today ill try get intouch.

Bradfords are good tanks. I use them or Johnwood. I avoid AO Smith like the plague, they don't honor their warranties.

Ya the only thing I don't like is the integrated anode. I think my tank has one, but I could be wrong
