Why does every story/report about government spending money to help business' fill empty "skilled labour" slots never include a description of what those actual skill shortages are?

I strongly suspect it's because those supposed job openings are entry level minimum wage jobs that they're expecting folks with $40K+ worth of education to apply for.

Maybe if they offered more than $12.50 / hour, or posted job requirements that accurately reflect the work tasks they'd be able to fill the slots.

Honestly when I saw the price I thought why wouldn't I just get a Note 7 for basically the same cost? I mean it sure appears to be better than the Pixel XL, well exploding batteries aside.

At least that is my thoughts. And again, no microSD = no buy from me.

Looks like a Note 7 is no longer an option, they are officially discontinued.

Grr after a few weeks waking up every 20 minutes not sleeping through the night I finally started to get some solid sleep. fell asleep around midnight only to be woken up at 1:53 am because my smoke detector was going off, no smoke anywhere no smell of smoke any were, I checked the halls of the building I live in nothing had to open up my windows and stick a fan blowing at the smoke alarm to get it to stop I guess I should see if there is dust inside it this place is dusty which isn't good .

Smoke detectors also have a shelf life and start to go off when they need to be replaced. This may be your problem.

Does anybody else have a problem with the fact that Discovery Science's daytime lineup appears to be comprised for the great part of unscientific conspiracy theory shows? I'm sorry but if the name of your TV channel includes the word "science" you should be avoiding shows which base all of their content on wild conjecture, and/or outright misrepresentation of facts.

I lost much desire for cable years ago, when Discovery and other channels I used to enjoy just became hosts for reality TV and other brain rotting garbage.

Wait, that doesn't sound right; maybe there is such as thing as too much Nyquil & Dayquil. :haha: I've been suffering with the worst man-flu in the history OF THE world and have spent days parked on the couch flipping channels... Much Music now shows more MasterChef Canada/South Park/etc than music videos, seriously wtf!

If it were up to me, I would have cut the cord years ago.

I agree 100%. But, what about shows like "Outrageous Acts of Science" which is actually quite good but has a questionable flashy title. Or the recent "Death On A Comet" about the finalization of the Rosetta mission by "landing" it on the comet. There seems to be a real or perceived appetite for flash over substance. Has been for quite some time.:sad: At least they're still including some substance in some shows. "NASA's Unexplained Files" is another pretty good show with a pretty bad title.
