Rants etc.....

Yup I am 44 haven't been on a bike since I was 17 and boy do I miss it but we will be buying just city run around nothing too fast or really meant for offroad stuff.

We just talked about and our going to go up to the dealer in Orillia and see what a set of the new honda Navi will cost us we're going to put a fair bit down then take it on 1-2 years to pay off fast she never ridden a bike before and really I might as well be a newbie too since I have forgotten just about everything I learned riding the few years as a kid.

The new Honda nave is a limited speed bike like a moped it even has a CVT like a moped/snowmobile, which just means twist and go so very easy to learn on plus a no brainer for riding around town or on backroads just outside of town should be fun we will both need to get helmets and gloves and in the long run I think I would really want a Honda CBR125 yes it's a small bike I am not looking to go fast I am looking to ride and have fun so I don't want a bike I have to lug around if need be simple and slow is ok with me, can't wait. Did a practice test and only got one question wrong.

Just took a look at that Navi and honestly that sure looks like a fun little bike. I am curious as to what kind of speed it can get to as the engine is only a 109cc. Cost wise looks to be just under 3k without any extras. In other words just a tiny bit more than my gpu.

That kind of makes me sad.

Edit: Just found the top speed 55mph. So not bad if you are just running around town.

Spent the last 2 days setting up home theatre in living room since it hasn't been used in 6 months. Fought w/ Harmony for a few hours but seemed to get things dialed in. Played a bit of a 4K movie w/ DTSMA soundtrack. Seemed to work great... But then I tried something w/ Dolby Digital Plus. No sound at all. Doesn't matter what app. I know I used eARC on this LG C9 before with a different receiver, so maybe its just a plain regular ARC issue.

I'm doing some googling and it seems a lot of older Yamaha ARC capable receivers have issue. One dood says trying a 'high speed' HDMI cable fixed it. I try another cable. And sure af it works! The odd thing is I know the existing cable would do 4K 60Hz no problem. But just being used as an audio cable it can't do the whopping 1.5Mbps or whatever for E-AC3?
