TechNet discount coupon code.

TechNet is driving me up a wall. I'm trying to download Windows 7, was at school and getting 50kbps down. Couldn't finish it there, now I'm at home getting 5kbps. BAH!!!

I'm having the same problem. I was just about to post something about it, thought it was just me. Servers at MS must be completely packed. I'm downloading at about 5kbps too.

Thought I'd update the thread.

The codes posted previously have expired but I did locate a 28% off code that is current:

TNWIN7L

Comes out to just under $295 CAD after PST/GST.

I'm interested in signing up for a subscription as well. I know it's been asked before, but I can't help, but want to ask again. If I sign up for the Technet subscription, all software that I download will be mine forever right? I mean, the registration keys will not expire after 1 year?

Can someone confirm that Windows Home Server, Windows 7 Ultimate, Office 2007 and soon Office 2010, and Windows Server 2008 R2 is available?

I really wanted the family pack for Windows 7 HP, but the offer expired. I also heard the student discount expired before I can pounce on it so I'm assuming this is the next best thing available?

You will be able to download all the stuff you want for 1 year, after that, I believe you can still access all of your keys (someone correct me if I'm wrong?) however you will not be able to download anything. All keys are good forever.

Every version of windows 7 is available in both x86 and x64 with 10 keys each, except enterprise with 1 key. Home server is there. Server 2003 is there, every version imaginable with 10 keys each, Server 2008 R2 is there, every version, however only 1 key each, Office 2010 is there for beta, and will be there upon release... Office 2007 and office 2003 and XP are all there, 10 keys each all versions..

Honestly.. it's packed with keys. If you need any more screenshots just let me know..

What about qualifications though? A screenshot definition would help!

Are you sure anyone can sign up? This is like an amazing deal. Since I missed out on the Windows 7 student promotion (UBC Student) and the family pack, this is an amazing deal no matter how I look at it. I need a Windows 7 license for both my desktop and laptop. Two Windows 7 HP license is already more than $220 with tax.

I probably will sign up in the next 24-48 hours if everything pans out. Do you know when the other coupon code will expire?

It really is an amazing deal. The catch is the keys are only for personal use and you're "supposed" to just use them to try out software... but nobody's gonna get in trouble if you're just using them for yourself.. If you need more than 1 key for something, it's already a good value..

Anyone can sign up as far as I know.. I had no problems.. You put in the coupon before you even pay or enter any details, so you will see very first thing if it worked or not..

What did you want screenshots of?

I stand to be corrected, but AFAIK the OS and Office keys don't expire (outside of the 10 activations /key limitation), but the higher end software (like the business server apps) keys are only good for as long as the subscription is valid. If you're mostly looking for OS and Office, then you won't find a better deal. Just keep in mind that it's for your own personal use... I'd imagine MS would take a dim view of things if these keys start showing up as updating from 100's of different IPs (as in you're building systems and putting them out the door with these keys).

No, I only intend to use them on my own computers. Everything that I use is for personal use and not for businesses. At the end of the day, my Lenovo X200 came with Vista Home so if I do use it for business, I guess I'll use that!
