I'm not normally an 'out of the box' type of guy when it comes to cooking, but god damn this stuff's delicious. Much prefer it over Tikka marsala/butter chicken to be honest. Highly recommend hitting up your local T&T to give it a try. I'd almost be willing to mail lowfat a box since he lives in the backwoods
On a more serious note have any of you guys picked up a 'Baking Steel' Baking Steel — Baking Steel ? I'm mulling over getting a piece of plate and just grinding the edges myself and seasoning it after giving it a cleaning. I really like their V2 with the channel, but just can't see it being worth the price. If you've got a baking steel, I'm curious as to how people's results have turned out.
No butter though. Butter makes wet patches and wet patches taste like someone has slobbered on it. gross.
Just whatever oil is left over from popping and some salt.
Not much of a popcorn fan myself tbh, but I've often wondered if using powdered butter over popcorn would turn out well. If it shakes out like a seasoning and if there's enough moisture on the popcorn's exterior to let it stick (which I imagine there is ) it might work as a nice butter alternative without getting globby wet popcorn...
So there's a whole foods opening up a few blocks away in the same parking lot as my gym soon. I know there's a few in Ontario and it reminded me of this;
Looks like $6 USD well spent, m i rite?
They're visually nice grocery stores I'll give them that, but I remember seeing the 'whole health' classes billboard in the Mississauga spewing BS ('How to control your body's acidity for health! was a personal favorite. AKA 'I didn't even take Junior high biology, but I'm going to tell you how I think your body works).
There's a chance I might sneak into the hot foods section once or twice though.
Now if only we could get Fortino's out here instead. That's a magical grocery store
