The 'What are you watching' Thread

I mentioned Last of Us on Crave(cable) is piss poor video quality! Well the idea came to me to download the Crave app on my TV and sign in to watch the Last of Us via streaming and much to my chagrin.......Video quality is way better!! Guess I'll be streaming it from now on:)

That's been my experience with much of the streaming content from Rogers. I get much better results using the app installed onto my google TV OS than I do from the apps (or standard channel on demand) on the Rogers' STBs. Much of Disney's content is unwatchable from the STB app, I'm fairly certain it's an issue with how HDR is being served up.

Pretty funny, currently in episode 8 or so.

I think the last time I watched that was around 2005... yet certain parts of it are burned into my brain. I didn't even have to hit play and I instantly thought "my spoon is too big" just from the thumbnail.

He made other animations and I recall looking a few up but that one was the only one I recall being of any interest.
The my ___ is bleeding section... one of my classmates at NAIT drew the whole scene on the whiteboard nearly used up all the red marker in one go.
 
I watched the western The Old Way with Nicholas Cage. his character was interesting and showed a lot of complex depth that was not explored near enough. the dialog was excellent, but the editing was rough and made it feel lower quality than it should have been.

the death scene of Cage's character has got to be one of the worst on record. gadzooks it was bad.

Well, finished SEAL Team. All six seasons were available on Paramount+ rather than five as I initially thought. It was alright, but lost something once it got to season 5 and 6. I'll still likely check out season 7 because 6 did end with something I'd like to see resolved.

It was very interesting the change the show went through from being a primarily network aired show to a streaming platform show. The rating jumped to TV-MA, and the language went into the toilet. That happened around season 4 I think, and it was almost comical because the language used was such a drastic change that it didn't even fit with the characters we knew from the beginning of the show. It was actually a pretty stupid and unnecessary change that hurt the cool persona of the characters and the feel of show in general.

Ah well. That is why we can't have nice things!

Edit: I'm not saying the language change isn't realistic, just didn't fit with the characters they had already created.

Seal team is pretty good unlike SWAT first time I watched it I laughed I mean even there vests are not swat vests at least the ones I hgave seen the SWAT tac units use whilke they were practicing kiccking in doors using flash bangs in an abbandoned house when I used to work security for Abbotsford city hall there was a house close buy hey sometimes practiced in ther armour was allot thicker then the APD or RCMPs armour which in SWAT tv show they are using an the main guy I dont think i ever seen him with out wearing gloves hehe
 
We binged the second season of Clarkson's Farm. Great fun and an interesting set of events. Who knows how much is staged vs legit but whatever. It was entertaining!

Also watched Wakanda Forever this weekend. Ugh... Don't waste your 2 hrs and 43 min on that. I was a fan of the other Black Panther movies so this was pretty disappointing. My daughter warned me it would be lol
