Toronto Maple Leafs...

I think the reason why Deveaux isnt getting called up despite leading in points is the Leafs already have enough goons on the ice. They need skill guys that can pass and score, not goons that bang in a couple goals in the minors. Sure it would be cool to see Deveaux have a chance on a skill line but it's not gunna happen.

Not sure how you can compare a team like pittsburgh or washington to the Leafs. Malkin, Semin, Backstrom, etc hardly equal Stajan or Hagman lol
I'm just countering your arguement that Kessel is in a slump because he's getting too much coverage. I'm not comparing the Leafs to any of those teams..just stating that they(the true goal-scorers) still find ways to score even when the other team tries to take away their time and space.

Well Bozak played well at least..
I think Kessel played a little better, even though he couldn't pot one. He had a couple great chances that probably would/should have gone in...if not for Ward's great play. Kulemin's goal was sweet, he shot that in as he was falling. :punk: All in all, a devastating night for the Leaf Nation; they lose, and all the teams they're chasing win...BUMMER!!

Ohhh man...bad feeling about this one! Rosehill up...i see lots of PIM, and what happens when the Leafs are in the box; goal. I hate to, but i predict 5-3 Flyers.

I'm not giving up on them, but i'm also not naive...numbers don't lie.

I hope someone knocks out Carcillo's remaining teeth tonight. :blarg:

Sweeeeet!! :bananafunky: I'm glad i was wrong. :punk: Toskala was great. Other than all the penalties in the 1st, great effort. I think the shutout definitely pays Philly back for the last game. Oh..although he didn't score, Kessel had a great game...maybe this will up his confidence and help pull him outta the slump.

Yeah pretty good game all around. THat #1 line is looking better with Kessel/Bozak/Kulemin. Harder to shut down a line when all three can shoot, pretty predictable when the previous strategy was 'get Kessel the puck so he can shoot'. And what a SWEET goal for Bozak's first! ... 4 points in three games, he's getting a little streak going there.

I was happy to see Rosehill come up. I actually think he's a decent player aside from his obvious attributes. But I do like to see him fight, too bad skippy there turtled like a school girl when he realized Rosehill was on him. That whole forth line isn't playing too badly.
