UPS recommendations home/gaming PC in 2025?

UPS are very simple. for the average* gamer, they would want go get the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD: https://www.cyberpowersystems.com/product/ups/pfc-sinewave/cp1500pfclcd/

but the rule of thumb, no matter what UPS you purchase, the minimum requirement is to make sure it's supported wattage matches or exceeds the wattage of your PSU and all other devices you intend to connect to it.

also, you never connect printers, speakers, amplifiers, etc. to a UPS; well, the surge protect outlets are fine, but not the battery backup.

*average being defined by those that have a gaming PC with a PSU that does not exceed 900w, as there are very few 1500VA UPS that support more. there are a few, which are 2 or 3x the price of the recommended above, that peak at 1050w.

source - me, a guy that's been selling them for 17 years.

Why? I was going to get one for my tv and stereo.

How long does the router/modem stay up?
I get a little over 2hrs on a 1500/900W model.

I need to take a quick network downtime to improve that a bit.

Now that I've got a CG Fiber with a POE port powering one of my APs I can move my Enterprise 8 PoE over to a non-backup outlet which will power down both that and the second AP during a power failure. That will leave me powering ONT, switch (WAN splitter), CG-F w/ PoE powered AP, and the rogers router (needed for land line).
