some of you may have a proper scanner and software solution to manage all that...but for personal stuff, that's quite a process, so looking into other options available for Android. I was reading a thingy on apps and an evernote 'something' was recommended for this purpose, but it's only available for iOS, so here I am asking for Android :)

I use Genius Scan on my iphone, available on android too.

Very easy to use, can export to photos / email / cloud.

If it's for business and you process a lot of receipts then I recommend DEXT (requires monthly subscription), works really well and integrates into most accounting software packages.

If it's for personal use, I just use Adobe scan to scan the receipts and save as a pdf and then just email them to myself. Don't really know of any app that scans and also manages the receipts unfortunately.

ok so I just played with it and under editing it allows me to save it as a pdf only if adobe is installed and you have to pay to use that feature of adobe,🤬 Adobe. but if you just use the crop it down to the document it works fine but this feature saves it as a .JPG so not sure if this helps.

So no it creates an image file, but I think that may be a limit of my new phone cause my old phone did create a text document when I took a picture of something like a document

edit If adobe scan is free and you need pdf then I would suggest going that route too. the thing I don't like about adobe scan is you have to login into it. I am not a fan of having to create an account just to use a free app, it just me

well I just found out you can use google drive to scan any documents you want and save them as a pdf to save them into google drive

this is why the document scan feature was removed from the camera in Andriod 10 from 9 where it was on my last phone lol

thanks for that Gav...installing Adobe Scan I also saw Microsoft Lens, so I'll try both out and see which I like best.
