Out of curiosity, have you tested both on the same cpu to see if there is much of a difference in temp? Or is it just a better build/design/looks?

Yup I tested on 58X3D and 5900X, PS is the better cooler for sure. It’s like an FC140 in the space of a PA120.

how much better does that 7th heat-pipe make it? the value on that PA @ $40 while the PS is showing as 'currently unavailable' so no idea what it's asking price would be if it was in stock.

With FC140 I run 240/160/190 on my 5900X, the PA120SE could not handle it, almost but not quite.. temps into the 90s before I killed the test. I could run those settings on PS120SE with the stock fans and be in the low to mid 80s, this is during Linpack Xtreme with a 10GB load set.

I paid $56.71 for PA120SE ARGB, and I paid $47.90 for PS120SE ARGB. There was only 3 left in stock when I bought mine

Was planning on buying a 7900XTX. But even the absolute cheapest 7900XTX is only $200 less than the 4080FE. Considering how much I game, the cost of my power, and the increased efficiency. The $200 will pay itself back in under a year. Plus the significantly better looking / performing cooler. DLSS3, etc.

I play a lot of games lately.

If I play 4 hours a day it would be about a year if my math is right. I live in the area of Alberta w/ the highest electricity costs, about 22c/kWh.
