Also, I still dont have Internet the Rogers tech person is showing up with in the next 4 hours, I hope they can fix this issue I am getting used to the free Wifi in the building but I am always turning it off on my PC because I am not sure how secure it actually is I highly doubt anyone living where has the tech no how to hack, but other people in the houses close buy like the many teens may know how and doing it just because lol

Well, this Christmas/winter has gotten far worse than I ever thought possible. Ya, I have to pay for a bunch of crap for my house, all that means really nothing after last night. My cousin died last night, we were very close as teenagers, in her 30's she had a drinking problem, she fell one night and hit her head, a coma for a few weeks but after she seemed to get better, then came the seizures, that kept getting worse as she aged and last night she had her last one well in the hospital, gone at 51, my poor uncle, had cwatched her decline over the last 5 years, but no one saw this coming, not even her doctors. Just a F'ing crap turn of events.

Life is too short, enjoy life with those you care about, we never know when are ticket gets punched.

Getting that "Something didn't go as planed" Windows error after the update then reboot installing , I seem to remember this happening a long time ago, in any case I am at the point of DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth which took a long timer like 15 minutes just for it to show anything, went through that now doing the sfc /scannow ,which for me has never ever fixed anything after Windows XP for me hehe but I will wait for the few hours of scanning just to make sure .

Big Fat Edit

like I thought that didn't work looks like I will be spending most of tomorrow on my day off trying to fix this or just resettign my PC in hopes that will work

How my friends dad passed in a similar fashion. After having his 3rd wife die he became a bit of an alcoholic even worse than he was after the second. (Cancer, car crash etc not suspicious style deaths)

He went to his dad place to visit and found him passed out in bed after having fell and hit his head. Instead of going to the hospital laid down in bed with blood covering the pillow etc. even with my friend there and him barely conscious he refused to go to the hospital even with an ambulance there.

With the refusal of help they had to leave and he called them back after his dad passed out (I don't think they went far).

GOt home from the hospital and happened again but instead of down the stairs happened in the shower and didnt make it the second time

Well all I can say is I hate leaks.

And I really hate leaks that don't present themselves until after work has been done forcing you to redo things. Again.

All I know is it is coming from the main tub upstairs and at this point it might just be better to rip that damn thing right out, replace the obviously soaked through plywood, and just put in a new tub. Wife doesn't want the jacuzzi jets anyways.

Tub was in the 2030 plan for renos, but well now it is starting to feel forced.

I have had 2 types of tub leaks. One the overflow gasket needed to be replaced. Takes longer to go to the hardware store to find the correct gasket than to clean the surface and actually swap it out. The other was the p-trap on the tub was sligtly loose was able to fix it from below, installed a hatch as a results (above basement bathroom)

But with a jet tub there are so many other points it could be leaking from.

well here I go I am going to do my best to refresh my win11 OS in hopes it keeps all my settings plus it gets rid of that pesky "Something didn't go as planed" Windows error when trying to update windows
These issues that you are facing are the exact reasons I don't do in upgrades using the current os drive, and instead always do a fresh install. It's easy enough to back up user folders and what not, and if there is a driver or something that smokes the install you can jsut wipe the drive and start over. While it does work for some people, I would never personally recommend this route.

get a claw foot tub...then if there is every a future leak it will be easy to find and fix.

I am surprise that the refresh actually worked lol it took a whiole but the old mount the window's disk then click on setup worked , I havent done that in years but I am happy to not have had to do the reset thing that would have sucked toes having to probably go through all my settings again ugg
