Hey guys, I would greatly appreciate a price check on the following combo

8700K
ROG Maximus X Hero Wifi
G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4-2800 (4x8gb)

Searched the forum but didn't find anything recent and local local kijiji/marketplace prices are $$$ (they don't make any sense, unless I'm missing something).

The combo would fetch way more than that. It's a great board and platform, plus 32GB RAM. i7-2600k combo's are still going for $100+

weird, I didn't see the mobo / RAM... only the CPU. so yes, as a combination it's worth more.

I generally look at the refurb market to get a general idea on older gear pricing....

i5 8Gen corporate boxes look to be going for $150 - $200 so I'd suspect asking $150 with some wriggle room would be a good starting point. Don't forget to stress that it's W11 compatible out of the box.

I've seen a couple of similar combos on the local F.B. Marketplace recently, and IIRC, both of 'em were at $250. One of them sold, although the listing, of course, didn't show the selling price, and the other one has been sitting for a little while now.

I sale in my area a 8700 (non K) + a asus mb for 150$ 3 weeks ago. Which thought was too pricy by the buyer even not negociate.

Well that didn't take long. Sold within 30 minutes for $225, guy already picked it up didn't even negotiate. Had two other guys lined up that messaged me right after. Maybe I should have asked more... lol
Thanks for reminding me that Windows 11 is supported out of the box sswilson, I had forgotten about that!
