This is not news I wanted to hear today, but John passed away early this afternoon. For those of you that didn't know him (he posted here regularly until he started his own review site, RHR about 5 years ago.) he was the most generous individual I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, giving me the shirt off his back so I could get out of the hole I was in. The amount of charity work he did was simply astonishing and IMO a true definition of a hero.
I ask that everyone that can, to donate to a vetted mental health charity.
 
I...can't believe I'm hearing this. I talked to him a few days ago, I know he was going through a rough patch but it never seemed it had gotten to that point with/for him. He is going to be greatly missed, as I know others will feel the same or say the same, I wish I could have done more, but sometimes...you can't...
 
I worked with him on RHR for over one year. I drew the thumbnails for his website/youtube channel a year back and did some news articles. I was thinking of going back to work with him.

I chat with him almost everyday on FB messenger asking how is life is.

OMG I can't believe this!
 
That's too bad. I remember when he was first talking about moving out west and I was trying to get his resume in the hands of some O&G types that could find him something. Fortunately he was able to find something a bit more appealing than 'Fort Mac laborer'. Always seemed like a decent guy.

RHR was never my scene (too much random stuff like vaping, etc) so I haven't kept up with him over the years.

Soullessone21, he had already left HWC to start RHR before you were around much I think.
