Just poured myself a ginger ale and spicebox whiskey - though generally it would be wisers whiskey and ginger ale. Big fan of gin and tonic, or gin and soda if I'm going for something low cal.
Guinness. When I'm tired of Guinness, I like to mix it up and have another Guinness.
okay...so let's mix (HA! see what I did there?) this up and start being more specific, like some of you were and some of you weren't.
what brands of your preferred drink are your go-to's?
if it's straight up, my go-to is rye...Wiser's to be exact. I've got a bottle of just about everything they've produced, including some high end limited edition specialty runs they've made.
for scotch, Glenlivet. I've actually an unopened bottle of 21 year, waiting for a special occasion. I've also got a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label...which is quite the acquired taste. I like Glen's even palate, and something-a-rather-bruchladic that is smokey...the peaty dirt of Blue Label...well, having the bottle for 5 years now, has become something I can tolerate, but it's definitely not the profile I seek. I've got a bottle of Okanagan Spirits Laird of Fintry single malt that I've yet to open.
for bourbon, I haven't found a go-to yet, but I have enjoyed both Buffalo Trace and Bullit. and if we mention sour mash, Southern Comfort.
I'm playing around with a lot of gin lately...I do like Bombay Sapphire, but like I mentioned earlier, I'm trying all the BC distiller products.
if I drink vodka, it's got to be potato vodka. I'm not looking for grain vodka (coff - white whiskey - coff), the stuff is horrid.
I'm not too ejumicated on rum...but I do like Old Navy Dark.
anyone have stories to tell of Everclear?![]()
