Corsair H80i & H100i Review Comment Thread

Nice! I just bought an H80i today. I didn't get a chance to measure temperature differences between it and my Zalman CNPS20LQ, but it does look a helluva lot cooler (pun intended?).

Oh, and it's a TON quieter than the Zalman was in Push/Pull.
 
If I didn't already have the H100, I would get the new H100i right away. Plus I already have the Corsair link hardware so I'm not missing out on that either.

One thing I do wonder about, with the quad fan set up, do you think that the reason there is so little difference with the numbers is that the chip just is not putting out enough heat for it to really show what it is capable of? Basically do you think you would see a greater difference with higher OC's?

Probably a combination of the ultra thin radiator not needing quad fans and the chip not putting out enough heat to hit its limits. These dual rad units are very, very effective at whisking heat away from the CPU. :thumb:
 
I wonder how noise levels compare to the Antec 920. I couldn't find anything on line that has a comparison list that includes Antec. Anyone here have that info? I'm prepared to sacrifice a few degrees,and have a more quiet running cooler. Thanks all.
 
My h80i is inaudible. 100% quiet - and its crammed into a very tiny mITX case. CPU running @ 4.6ghz 1.2v. Fans are set to quiet mode for both.
 
Its in the queue. Will be a couple weeks....and couple other AIOs between now and then. ;)

AkG are you the only reviewer for HWC these days? I see lots of mini news articles but not many other reviewers anymore.

Plus I think I will have to get some of the new Corsair fans after your little review :thumb:
