I'm a Vancouver fan living in Edmonton and my 5 year old has announced he loves Florida. (He likes the logo and they have a panther roar after each goal, so he's sold.) He was outside in the backyard yelling "let's go Panthers!" pissing off the neighbours. I approve. :ROFLMAO:

Being a Habs fan, I didn't really give a crap, but was kind of cheering for the Canucks, given the number of long suffering Canucks fans I know, so it makes it a bit hard to cheer for the Oilers. That, and I just don't like them anyway, PLUS I always lean toward the teams that have never won it before, so I was cheering for Fla., BUT given the sheer resiliency of the Oilers, and Fla.'s look of 'folding the tent', it WOULD be kinda cool for the Oilers to become only the 2nd team EVER to win the final after being down 3-0.

this is going to be off topic here ,I used to be a fan but I think I was more of a fan of the drinking and partying when things were going good then anythign lol the building Ilive has a main area and I can here people screaming and yelling armchair athletes and getting pissed off throwing things around when things dont go right.. people its a game and just because players mess up or bad calls are made you are not a player you have know clue what kind of pressure these pros are under just sitting in front of a screen doesn't make you a pro . I see this allot when I used to do events like Hockey foot ball , rugby even field hockey people in the stands or sitting screaming yelling at players sometimes even going after them or the refs ,its just stupid . it a dam sport it isn't your life unless your a fool who placed your life savings on a bet lol the thing about most of the players are not from the area they represent. like long ago when Vancouver was at the cup and playing new york the new york team were actually the long before Edmonton oilers which had won seevral Stanley cups and had that kind of experience the pressure involved playing . but the people of newyork won and were proud of there actually Canadian players who represented newyork for the cup lol
ok I apologize that was more of a rant then anything, it is a sport, people need to remember that , I remember when originally Sports were for fun and the players challenged themselves against other players now its about drinking and money ;)

Unsuprisingly, most of the city has announced they're closing at 3pm today. Of course the pubs/bars will be open, but I expect it's gonna be a wild time here.

A guy a block over from me I met through the homebrewers club is hosting a street/driveway party for the subdivision, including some homebrewed beers. We'll probably wander over and hang out for a bit.

I expect there will also be some heavy heads tomorrow at work, and even worse if they win.

I'm really hoping for a win, it'll be a once in a lifetime experience in this city, hell, multiple lifetimes if you're a Leafs fan 😂

Saw a pic of Costco in Edmonton during the last game. Was completely empty.
