My honor and privilege

Wow that guy does storage reviews just like AkG. Something is up and it can mean only one thing...AkG has a stalker.

Other than an elaborate unboxing, where would one go to get an in-depth video review of PC hardware that covers the underlying technology?

Gamersnexus is probably one of the more technical channels, Steve definitely knows his stuff. Other than that I can't think of any other channels off hand

They still push written articles to their website too that match the videos. It's been my go to for the last year or so.

Anandtech is still okay...I'm just not a fan of how connected they are. I feel that they have some biases. That and when Anand stepped back and then left the site changed.

Gamersnexus, Actually Hardcore Overclocking, OC3D TV(sometimes) are good channels for a bit deeper dive. Actually Hardcore Overclocking channel goes very deep into motherboard and gpu PCB reviews. He also works for Gamersnexus.

It depends but I find that you have to go to specific channels to get indepth reviews for specific hardware. Like one YouTuber might only be good at monitor reviews but not most other things.

Added all of these. Gamersnexus integrating the videos with the written reviews is perfect for me as I can pop the video on and the have a read.

I hope this was not too off-topic. Mods if you like we/I can create a new thread or something as this is only tangentially related and went further than I anticipated. Been checking out reviews all night though from places talked about here so it felt good to get caught up on a few things.

Gamers Nexus has become my new go to standard. I haven't done a build from scratch in a while so I haven't needed to delve too deeply into things but still like to keep relatively abreast, the written/video combo hits the sweet spot and Steve's always seemed pretty genuine IMO (YOMV of course).

Soulessone's site didn't really do it for me the first few times I peeked in, seemed a bit too much like it wanted to be anything and everything and needed a little more focus, but I'll have to periodically take a look. If nothing else I guess I should be ready to jump ship when the plug gets pulled here, which seems inevitable.

A site with a horrible layout and ex members of hwc

I don't often agree with enaberif, but it is pretty bad.

What other site?

The site is 'Real Hardware Reviews' started by a former HWC member (and presumably others).

*Mods I'm assuming mentioning the site isn't a problem (it's in people's sig afterall) but feel free to edit this if it's an issue*
