NVIDIA GTX 980Ti Performance Review Comment Thread

What a card. It will be interesting to see how high the non-reference coolers can get the clocks up. Cheaper than what I expected (msrp anyway), but still more expensive than I could justify. The curiosity of Fiji is killing me. I hope for amd's sake it is good.

Nothing wholly unexpected here I think, the Titan X Jr. Predictions were pretty much spot on and pricing indeed consistent with previous launches, but I think smart buyers will wait to see what AMD has in the cards first.

That being said I'm still disappointed that GPU technology is lagging behind display specifications so much still. One card still only being able to power 1440@60 effectively for the beefier games. Need some more high resolution love for the high end.

Or it's a matter of MIA optimizations in so many titles. Look at GTAV...perfectly optimized for numerous systems.

Hmmm. Actual availability the day before Computex. Very clever. I'm sure many people will buy tomorrow, completely uninterested in waiting for AMD.

I'm really curious to see Fiji now.

I suspect he meant pushing 120+ fps on the newer displays for resolutions of 2560x1440 and above is difficult with just a single card, even the Titan or 980 Ti without dialing back settings.

It looks like it will play GTAV slightly below 60fps at 3440x1440 with MSAA enabled. A thousand bucks Canadian and still not getting what I want.

We've been stuck on 28nm forever. I think you guys are expecting a bit too much out of the limitations they've been forced to deal with.
