Not sure about other municipalities, but the reasons the Libs have won in Markham absolutely infuriates me.

Our Liberal candidate basically just keeps all the whiners happy and doesn't think about whats actually good for the city. People are constantly complaining about not having a traffic light in front of their office/home/etc for easy access to main roads. So our Liberals assume everybody wants more traffic lights (when they actually want better infrastructure) and keep wasting money creating traffic jams in the city.

Our Liberals want to take politically safe stances on everything, even if it means wasting millions of taxpayer dollars. For example our city wanted to build an NHL arena for the longest time, but the Liberals in charge wouldn't take a stance because the public opinion was so evenly divided. So we end up wasting millions because it wasn't politically safe to make a decision or take action.

Nope, I don't believe that at all, but there are varying degrees of bias and I draw the line at "news" sources which are 95% opinion based as opposed to mostly sticking to facts and then applying your bias to those.

As a patriotic Canadian I stopped watching all things Fox (including the network) once it became clear that they had no intention of stopping their "entertainers" from insinuating that some of the 9/11 terrorists came through Canada. Sun "news" proved their unworthiness as a true news source when they chose ezra levant as one of their main spokespersons. I don't mind opinion pieces, but I can't accept any news source that markets them as fact when they're obviously playing fast and loose with the truth.

TNP on the other hand still has my respect as a news source even though I stopped being willing to pay for access to their news when the Aspers started censoring stories which went contrary to their world view.

My parents both worked at Imperial tobacco in Aylmer. Imperial Tobacco said that they needed to decrease their wages or they will move to Mexico. My parents along with pretty much everyone else at the factory said they would accept lower wages that would have still been great compared to other jobs. The union there refused and Imperial Tobacco moved to Mexico. That is why most unions are evil.

Same with the teachers union. They are way too powerful.

In construction unions are terrible. I hear horror stories all the time.
Every once in awhile a union representative trespasses onto one of the non union jobs. They will try to basically try to turn your company into a unionized company just so they can put you out of business. I have known several construction companies that had to close up because some idiots decided to join a union. Sure you get paid a hell of a lot more but it doesn't matter if your employer can't afford it.

Another problem with construction unions is for most jobs they do not allow non-union companies in. Also ones that do let us in have stupid rules like "your taking somebody's job" just because you want to do something faster. For example if I am putting on door frames and a piece of drywall isn't on I will just put a piece on so I can do my work. Most non-union companies would be very happy with that but nooo a union would be saying your taking someones job away.

Another problem is unions are too powerful. A few years back there were over a billion dollars in hospital renovations and additions just in my area alone. There were many bidders and all almost everyone went to union companies like Ellisdon. Talking with some of the contractors they think something criminal must have happened but they had no evidence.

Another problem with unions is they don't approve hard work. Well it comes time for break or time to go home I see union workers just drop all their tools and leave even though they only have a few minutes left to finish their task.

Can you tell I really dislike unions. Sure some places could use them but we already have tough labour laws in Canada so we don't need unions in most places. It is already hard to fire someone as I work for a small business that has had some crappy employees(caught sleeping in a closet). You also have the right to refuse unsafe work for example. So why do we need unions in most places?

I think the Liberals won because they pleased the cities more. Especially saying they will put in a high speed rail in. Although claiming it will only cost $2-3 billion while experts are saying closer to $20 billion I find it hard to believe there are that many gullible people.

I don't care who is in charge I just don't think the Liberals were the best party to choose. NDP is not an option and conservatives can't do math. The conservatives were the best option to me as the current Liberal government just wastes too much money.

BUT you will accept CBC as gospel? Your biased roots are showing there mate. The fact of the matter is the CBC is the media arm of the Lieberals....just as Sun is for the Cons. Its much better to listen to both, sort out the BS spin and make an informed decision than it is to imagine that the CBC is telling you (rofl) the truth. Doing otherwise is not being Patriotic. Its the opposite. Thats some 1984 "ignorance is strength" BS.

What most Leftist / Nanny state lovers dont get is the idea of a loyal opposition. Since the CBC is not much more than Liberal propaganda these days another voice is required. You dont have to like what they say, but you should not just reject everything they say because its not the CBC. Hell if I can stomach those commie libtard spewing shit, then you should be able to stomach those corporate lackey shit.

Come up with a MSM source and I'll gladly read it daily.

I like to think I'm a pretty good judge of character and watching him sputter and choke on TV when he found out about the upcoming Lib/NDP coalition was all I needed to see.

And as far as character goes... it says a lot about the character of a team when all their spokespersons can do is blame others for their election defeat......

Then was the last time you heard someone on what you consider the "good" MSM say something you disagree with? IF all you listen/read is Left then all you get is half the picture.
