I wish we had more than Starlings in BC
I also agree, the kind of strange thing is that where I live in Aldergrove there are some but not as many as in other places I have been to I see more robins and chickadees and sparrows then StarlingsI wish we had more than Starlings in BC
I periodically curse the guy who brought them over... along with the nature of the bird - you can't just get one or two of them visiting. One or two turns into 20 or 30 if you're lucky. They only leave when there's nothing to eat (or shit on).

Although Starlings are often maligned 
in the right season when the sun hits them just right they can have some impressive colours mixed in with the black, and their various vocalizations are nothing short of amazing. They're no Crows and Ravens mind you, but still pretty cool.
But yes... they do shit on my car... and that is unwelcome lol
Perhaps there's challenge in there for you excellent bird photographers; can you catch the Starling in a flattering or impressive light?

Probably an immature Cooper's Hawk - they don't like peanuts but they do like starlings.

Taken a few years ago, but this is essentially the view out of our main window today.......
I wish I had a similar view outside my window right now, I do indeed!
