I'm not in a cast or hospital but I'm in a surprising amount of pain in spots. Even had an x-ray and ultrasound to double check a few things, even sent me home with a BP monitor as it is still higher than normal. Told to limit screen time as much as possible (means don't go to work) but just had to submit the dashcam video and stuff to the insurance company so at my desk for a few minutes.

I feel super guilty right now after the dump of snow we had. The one neighbor has a permanent back injury and his oldest on light snow falls will quickly shovel my front walk and the elderly neighbor on my opposite side. Sometimes she beats me to it, sometimes I beat them to it but between the two of us we stay on top of the lighter stuff across the 3 houses. These heavier snowfalls I usually pull out the monster of a snowblower I have and I'll clear all 3 properties including driveways and with the way I hurt I can't operate that thing. It is a bit of a beast but it devours snow like this as long as the bolts are not breaking on me (why i drilled them out for larger bolts just before the winter). Have not mentioned what happened to them yet because I know they will go out there and try to man handle it.

BIL will swing by tomorrow and fire up the snow blower and clear stuff though.

No good emoji reaction to put on that one. Hope you are feeling better soon, get a break from the snow removal, and are able to have a good Christmas just the same! Not nice to deal pain and all the other complications during the holidays.
 
Few days ago got a notification that Gemini was now available for Google Home. So I give it a shit. Literally the first thing I ask it was something along the lines of "25.2 divided by 2" "Alright I will set a timer for 12 minutes and 40 seconds" WTF. I asked it again and it said the same thing. Never ever have I had to specify "what is 25.2 divided by 2" in the past.

So tonight I ask it "23.95 divided by 2." Alright, settings hallway thermostat to 27.95. Run to thermostat and sure enough it turned it to 27!
 
I can't get my KPH30 Wireless headphones to pair with my PC, but have zero issues connecting it to my phone. when in pairing mode, my Bt doesn't detect it...picks up TV's and devices from my neighbours, but not the bloody headset right beside it.

I've updated the Bt drivers...I've uninstalled the Bt from device manager and restarted and reinstalled...nope, nil, nada, nuffin.

any ideas on what's going on?

oh, other Bt devices have no trouble...my UGREEN earbuds, my MX Craft keyboard and my MX Master mouse, they can connect / disconnect without issues.

When it comes to headphones, earbuds, or Bluetooth audio connected to a TV or PC, I don’t bother using Bluetooth. If I’m watching a show or gaming, there’s always a slight delay, and for me it’s very irritating. When I watch someone talk, I pay attention to their whole face, so if the lips are even a millisecond out of sync with the sound, it really bothers me.


Wireless USB headsets never gave me that problem, but Bluetooth always does. When I sync it, it might work fine at first, but every time I watch something different—or even play the same game later—I have to try to re-sync it again.

My Mother flew down from Ottawa for Christmas and was scheduled to fly back early this morning... flight was cancelled due to the weather and the soonest they could rebook her was jan 7!!!!!!

Now we've got to get the local pharmacy to contact her pharmacy in Ottawa to top up her meds for an extra week.

That sucks and my main reason for not travelling at all anymore is that I have to get way too many meds every 7 days, hope it all works out
 
I just noticed that my new GPU comes with a 12VHPWR connector. Is that something I need to worry about at a 5060 Ti power level, or is it only the high power stuff? thanks all
