Rants etc.....

Political pundits on news programs really should do their best to remove the word "pivot" from their vocabulary. To this day I still can't hear the word without associating it with friends so it destroys any chance of them making the point they wish to make. :)

Good editors seemed to have died off like the dodo, killed by social media and garbage outlets like buzzfeed. English is an exceptionally rich language and they have to write (or speak as pundits) like 12 year olds.

Damn, so my cpu upgrade has caused my Aomei partition assistant to not be registered. What a pain, I knew motherboard change would cause this, but didn't think a cpu would cause this crap, so now I am waiting to hear back from them. should be an easy fix...I hope. lol

Yeah, I gave up on Aomei after discovering that their licenses were tied to hardware and not transferable.

That's not what I was told, yes, they are tied to the hardware, but they are transferable, you just have to deregister/uninstall the licence before moving them to new hardware. I just thought it would be tied to the motherboard, not the CPU+MB. So I went on with my CPU upgrade, not thinking it would be a problem

I just checked, they says its transferable aslong as it's the pro/server Lic/keys. It's more of a screw-up on my part, as I should have checked. Now I have to wait for support to get back to me. We will see what they say. I have a 2 pc lifetime/upgrade pro version.

EDIT: For anyone who has Aomei partition assistant or may want to buy it, the Lic/keys are transferable to any new PC or hardware changes. They reset my Key, I was able to register software using my original key. Up and running again.

SSwilson, you may want to contact them to see if you can register your Keys again. You paid for it.

This is why I do my best to avoid anything with click-bait style titles that are probably misleading. Doing my small part to resist... but at the end of the day, as long as those headlines still generate more clicks and views, it won't change.

I do the same, I also actively mute/block channels/news sites that rely on it, but unfortunately a few people in a sea of mindless clickers don't make a large enough difference.

TD finally responded to my email from almost 2 weeks ago (after emailing a supervisor)... so weird past experiences were pleasant and had me happy to deal with them. This is a gong show of epic proportions.

At this rate settle all of this, get second property sold off and find a new company.

Took nearly 2 months but finally have a fair evaluation and paperwork with a reasonable offer for the vehicle. A result finally gave them permission to finally tow the vehicle off my driveway. So... happy this part of it is generally resolved but still just really frustrated that it took so much effort to even get to a point of an offer that I didn't feel like I needed to tear apart.

Still have a whole bunch of chiro appointments and such to deal with yet eating into time I'd rather be spending with the kids etc.

I've always found it ridiculous that the only way to get fair compensation out of an insurance company is through a lawyer. My daughter was injured (pedestrian) as the result of clear fault by one driver yet her compensation took 2+ years and only after a lawyer was involved (thus eating up a good portion of the settlement).

I do have a consult with an injury lawyer later this week, but they only deal with the injury side of things not the vehicle itself so I have been on my own for this side of thing.
