what do you use or how do you clean your LCD monitors and laptop displays?

there are cleaners...but many of the 'how-to' guides stress the need to check mfr instructions to make sure you don't damage the screens or any coatings they may have. warm water and microfiber cloth or 70% isopropyl / 30% water mix...or 50/50 vinegar / water. it;s interesting now there is zero consensus.

I'm cautious due to an experience a friend had with his brand new CRT in the mid-2000's. sprayed the screen with Windex and it started to remove the coatings on its screen. he was crushed...especially so because he also has OCD. >.<

Usually with just a microfibre cloth. I use a small squirt of my eye glass cleaner (from the optometrist) when the cloth itself doesn't seem to fully clean. Don't notice any issues.

Typically just a damp micro cloth with a dry one to "buff" out any streaks.

As others have said microfiber cloth but as for a cleaner, water/vinegar works wonders. I can't remember the ratio, I'd have to ask my wife but I have been using that for years. Just spray a little onto the cloth for the stubborn marks on the screens.

microfiber and water worked fine for 20 years. I have seen too many people use different cleaners that were sold to clean LCD screens only to have them cause problems.

my ex-wife who owns a cleaning business uses "Ipaine's method" of water and vinegar, only thing she will use

Asked my wife and she said 50/50 (she thinks) but use distilled water, I had forgotten that part.

Dryer lint trap cleaning.....

Before, after, or yes?
lol Yes. I pretty much always clean after a load is done, and then we check again before we turn the dryer on the next time.

Related question, how often do you folk replace the hose/tube the goes from the dryer vent to the outside? Someone told me it should be replaced every 3-4 years. I've replaced ours once in the last 15... 😳

I've never heard that.... did they provide any kind of reasoning for replacing it? It most certainly should be checked/cleaned to ensure there isn't a buildup of lint blocking it, but I don't know about replacing it.
