Whats your latest purchase?

Not ready for pics yet as I still dont really have a plan, but I recently picked up a MBX MKII found on Marketplace (Full system still working, x99 Rampage V Edition 10, 1080ti, etc etc...). Thinking it could coincide with a platform upgrade, perhaps see what Bundle deals are on 7800x3d or i9's come Black Friday... Anyway, what an absolute UNIT of a case... I'm a bit giddy! For those who havent heard of it, it's a bit of a long story.

Yes, it's old tech, but at least there's no Front I/O, so that's not out of date ;). I still think it'll make a perfectly good platform for my needs, and the cooling potential with the Radiators in it is insane!
 
Those murder builds are still super slick and the giant rad in the bottom is probably more important than ever. Please keep a (re)build log.
 
I've always loved Murderbox builds (made it my "cash no concern" christmas choice the year we did a staff list :) ).

So yes... please please please do a build log if you can. :)
 
Curious on what you paid. I had actually ordered one they did their first launch. IIRC it was $1500. But then they had to refund all orders due to a PayPal terms violation. By the time they announced orders again, it was just too outdated so I noped out. Absolute financial disaster for Charles. But it is an engineering masterpiece.

Also need pics to see what options it included. Some of them were really pricey.

Yeah I'll be tearing it down to give it a complete cleaning/dusting before rebuild. It's pretty loaded from my initial poking around, with the top dual-fan (has the acrylic top panel still given to me on the side), has the intake Blower fan module, it's got the liquid-cooling bay thing (temps, flow, etc). Extremely thick 4x120mm rad and a 2nd super thick 1x120mm also tucked in the bottom. Blacked out "LED floor" thing, etc. The ONLY thing I'm a bit choked up about is that it's missing the Nameplate/plaque. I have no idea which SN it is :(. Unfortunately the Previous owner didnt know either as I guess it didnt have the plaque when he got it. I'm a bit afraid to post the price, but lets just say I paid less than what the watercooling components cost by themselves....
