Had a bunch of issues on my Win 10 install. The big ones were
A) Window management was messed up. Things never pinned correctly.
B) Media controls often controlled the wrong app. I could be playing music on tidal. Pause w/ keyboard. Literally not touch the PC. Hit play on keyboard and it would play whatever the hell media in the background it wanted that I hadn't played in a week.
C) The most annoying is how my windows resize to 600x800 every time I use the PC. Supposedly correcting this was a feature they actually annouced before Win 11 came out.
And w/ Windows 11.
A) So much better. Everything seems to work.
B) Hot garbage. How could they make it even worse? Have the same issues. But now they removed the little overlay that showed what it was controlling. And you could use the arrows to select the media to manage. But no I have no damn idea what is being resumed. Media controls for Tidal simple do not work.
C) Exactly the same.
But having 1 major issue fixed doesn't seem to outweight all the other stuff I hate. Windows Explorer is slow and IMO a downgrade in many other ways. Hate the taskbar (but I haven't looked in to 3rd party solutions). Don't like task manager. HATE the system tray, like WHY do I need to reenable the icon for every single app I install?
The so called Ryzen performance gains is way smaller than anticipated. 5% or so for Ryzen 5, but Windows 11 was already slower than 10. So for Ryzen 3 it will probably be pretty even.
Will probably upgrade back to Win 10 in the near future.
