GN vs LTT, thoughts?

What makes me the most mad about the LLT crap is that they decided to review an item then they use it on the wrong card and blame the maker of the cooler.

I know a friend of mine who decided to make and sell his own guided knife sharpener and he threatened to sue the reviewer because the guy wouldn't stop bad mouthing his product.

What happened was the unit the reviewer was sent didn't have an instruction manual because my friend forgot to pack one in with it he was just getting ready to launch his product and forgot,the reviewer contacted him and asked if it was supposed to come with an instruction manual and when my friend found out that he didn't get one he told the reviewer he would send one out right away.

Well the reviewer reviewed my friends guided knife sharpening system like he was the worlds leading expert on his sharpener and you could tell he was just wanting to trash it because he admitted to my friend over the phone that he started using it before the manual got to him and based his review on that and didn't wait for the manual to show up.

The reviewer was so stupid even after he got the manual he couldn't grasp the concept of what a digital angle cube was and how to use it,I know the the abuse for my friend got so bad from the reviewer openly slandering and always bashing my friends product he filed the papers to take the guy to court of his non stop bashing him and his product then all of a sudden the guy that did the review decides to keep his mouth shut.

I know it seems like I'm on a rant about my friend and what happened to him but my point is my friend had a hard time getting knife shops and people to buy his product because of the review and was told that,my friend said a bad review wouldn't have bothered him if the guy just didn't like his product but the reviewer never bothered to reach out to my friend and ask him I'm having a problem with this or that and is this normal or did I miss anything.

And my problem with LTT is that they said in another one of their shows that they didn't want people to buy it and felt people shouldn't buy it,but who is LTT to say that I mean come on if they knew before hand that the thing would retail for 800 bucks then why even review it in the first place whether or not the thing cooled way better then you could ever imagine or just about the same as stock.

It also piss's me off how LTT said about a few of their screw ups that they realize they screwed up but it wouldn't changed the way they felt about the product or the result's of their testing.

All I can say is I used to respect Linus in the past and he seemed honest to me but I don't know if I will ever trust him or LTT again.

I was also going to mention it's like the same thing Jay said in one of his video's about ASUS and how a well known ASUS employee goes online and defends ASUS like no other and always blames the customer and I know when they had the backwards capacitor debakel with whatever mobo that was and the guy blamed the customer because his mobo died,you can tell the ASUS employee is so proud of ASUS that he would defend ASUS even if their mission state was to make and sell non working mobo's at working mobo prices,it' onething to be proud of the company you work for and to take pride in your work but shit to be proud of your company when they are screwing people out of their money that is getting harder and harder to stretch everyday it seems.

I think it's the same thing with LTT Linus for sure has been drinking to much of the Koolaid,I honestly thinking that with LTT it's their intent to make honest reviews but when they screw up they think to themselves that it's no biggie that we messed up and not like we did it to ruin this company or decided to shit on their product just because we don't like it,I just think it's to hard for them to swallow their pride and say we messed up.

Ya I am pretty sure Linus was already working at NCIX and handling their youtube videos when I think he did a few reviews for HWC, but after NCIX went under he went off on his own when he was able to get the channel out of NCIX.
 
this is how you handle this, take responsibility for your screw-ups explain how you're fixing them and omg say you're sorry for this BS, Linus steps back and let the people he pays a lot of money to do their damn jobs, OMG Linus shouldn't be talking out of his ass, this is all Steve wanted was he wrong for what he said about Terren and Gary yes I believe so, but he wasn't wrong for making that video and this should have been the first response, not Linus BS ego trip letter.

hopefully, Terren/Gary/Yvonne can right this ship, this is a good start finally and it never should have had to come to this, Steve was trying to help and Linus ignored him.

Came across this on reddit and damn. I don't know who anyone in the posts or comments are (Luke, Madison, etc) other than Linus obviously, but that's one of the most damning reads I've come across about an employer, and I work in the oil industry....

If even half of what she wrote is true (and I've got no reason to doubt any of it), it seems like every shitty 'techbro' stereotype is happening over there.

Terren speaks too fast that it makes him seem untrustworthy. LOL.

Edit: After watching the whole video, I do like Terren a lot. And even Yvonne. They are no nonsense people and I respect their words. No excuses.

Let's be realistic. Linus is the boss. Terren may have a conversation with him, but I don't think it's a putting a foot down situation. If anyone gave him shit it was his wife. She's defininately in charge. At least I get that vibe.

Edit: The feeling I got from Terren was that of huge dissapointment. Even, what did I get myself into vibe. He really came off as remorseful.
