My new over the top gaming rig...

On the speakers, Grab a pair of powered monitors from Edifier for about $100, you won't be disappointed they are awesome sound quality for the price,
Plenty loud and unless you like ott base, they don't need a separate sub. (I find most speakers with a sub have a muddy sound and not very good quality unless you spend ALLOT)
I got the R2000T and love them for everything (music, movies and games when not using my headset) Worth a look at least

Why do people still think that price equals good? When a motherboard can cost $300 and a gpu can cost $400 it doesn't take long to add up to a $3,000 computer.

Why do u keep up this stupid none sense? The op is asking opinions on his build, he is not concerned your opinion of what he feels is over the top. If you cannot add positive to the thread, stop trying to degenrate it. Is your mother board 300 dollars? I doubt it. Most people don't spend 300 on a motherboard.

Yes to him its over the top, u don't like it, that's fine. Stop being a negative repetative robot.

IMHO "Over the top" is a relative term. It means so many different things to different people that discussing it in this way is futile.

OP your build looks good. As for SSD what about a Plextor 512GB SSD M5 Pro Xtreme?

EDIT:
If I was you I would change a few more things or atleast these changes would make your build "over the top" in my mind.
Audio: full 5.1 HT system. I moved from Edifer S730's to a full on HT setup at my computer. I love it!
Cooling: I am not a WCing freak but I would take the H220 over the H100i anyday. Perhaps not "OTT" but very good.
RAM: 4X8GB
Monitor: I would wait for Gysnc there is no doubt. 2560X1600 with gsync.

I probably will get a gysnc whenever they do hit heh; just saw the one I listed and seemed like quite a good deal. 27 inch, 120 ghz IPS, 1440 reso monitor for 325 seems awesome.

As for the cooling I read a lot of reviews and went with
Amazon.com: Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 Quiet CPU Cooler for Intel LGA 2011 Socket with 6 Heatpipes, 140/120mm SSO Bearing PWM Fans NH-D14 SE2011: Computers & Accessories

Instead.

SSD wise i found a good deal on a 480 version of Amazon.com: SanDisk Extreme II 480 GB SATA 6.0 Gbs 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SDSSDXP-480G-G25: Computers & Accessories

Still debating on that audio bit.

Ram recommendations? I have 16 but i wouldn't be opposed to getting 32.
